2-inch vs 4-inch mattress topper

How much each thickness actually changes, and who each suits.

Thickness is the decision that changes the outcome most, and the one people most often get wrong by assuming more is better. Here is what each depth actually does.

When thicker backfires

The trap: a 4-inch soft topper on an already-medium mattress lets your hips sink further than your shoulders. That is the same misalignment a sagging mattress causes — and people who buy a thick topper to fix back pain sometimes make it worse this way. Match the topper to how firm the bed actually is, not to how much comfort you want.

The other cost is heat. Four inches of foam between you and the mattress traps noticeably more warmth, which matters through an Indian summer.

Does it fix a sagging mattress?

No — neither thickness does. A topper follows the shape underneath it, so a dip stays a dip. If you can see a hollow when the bed is empty, the honest answer is a new mattress, not a topper. The straight-edge test in do you need a mattress topper tells you which situation you are in within a minute.

Our two options

The Cloud Topper 2" is the soft, thin option; the Ortho Topper 4" is the firm, deep one. Both use BIS-compliant HR foam made at our Jodhpur factory, ship free across India, and come with 7-day returns if the thickness turns out to be wrong.
