Compare mattresses →A mattress is one of the few things you use for eight hours every night and replace maybe twice in your life, so it is worth understanding what you are paying for. Most of what makes a mattress good or bad is invisible from the outside: the density of the foam, how it is layered, and whether the manufacturer cut corners where you cannot see. Beditation makes every mattress at our own factory in Boranada Industrial Area, Jodhpur, using BIS-compliant high-resilience foam, and ships it to you directly.
High-resilience (HR) foam is not the same material as the cheap polyurethane foam used in budget mattresses. It has a more open cell structure, which means it springs back faster when you shift position, breathes better through a warm night, and holds its shape for years rather than months. That recovery matters most if you move a lot in your sleep or share the bed — foam that collapses slowly leaves you sleeping in a dip that took shape hours ago.
Density is the number that matters and the one most brands do not print. Higher-density HR foam costs more to make, weighs more, and lasts longer under the same body weight. It is the main reason two mattresses that look identical in a showroom can be several thousand rupees apart.
Firmness is personal, but sleeping position narrows it down quickly:
Indian mattress sizes are quoted in inches as width by length. Single beds are usually 36×72 or 36×78, small doubles and diwans 48×72 or 48×78, queens 60×72 or 60×78, and kings 72×78, 75×78 or 78×78. Measure the inside of your bed frame rather than your old mattress, which may have spread or shrunk with age. If your frame falls between two standard sizes, take the smaller one — a mattress wedged into a tight frame develops permanent ridges along the edges.
Beditation is the consumer brand of a foam manufacturer with more than thirty years in the trade, supplying hotels and hospitals long before we sold to homes. Selling online only means there are no showrooms to rent, no floor staff, and no distributor margin stacked on top. The same foam reaches you at close to what it costs to make. It also means we cannot show you the mattress before you buy, which is why the return policy below matters.
Every order ships vacuum-compressed in a box and typically arrives within five to seven working days. Delivery is free within Jodhpur; elsewhere it is charged by zone, and the exact amount is shown at checkout before you pay. Unroll it on your bed and it expands — allow up to 72 hours to reach full shape and for the manufacturing smell to clear. Mattresses can be returned within 7 days of delivery, with return shipping arranged by you. Warranty runs up to 10 years and is stated on each product page. Damaged or defective items are replaced free.
If you know roughly what you want, go straight to mattresses, pillows or mattress toppers. A topper is worth considering if your mattress is structurally sound but too firm — it is a fraction of the cost of replacing it.
